Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Cummings Cavaliers (Burlington, NC), 9-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Chargers face the Carrboro Jaguars (Carrboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 6. Northwood will attempt to better on its 12-7 season record. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a 17-2 record after their 9-0 league win over J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC).

The Cavaliers now have a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they host Jordan-Matthews for a Mid-Carolina 1A/2A challenge on Thursday, May 2. Cummings will face a Jets team coming off a 1-0 league win over Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC). The Jets record now stands at 6-10.
