Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL), 15-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Maple Leafs now own a 15-1 record. They take the field next when they host Moline for a challenge on Thursday, May 2.
With the loss, LaSalle-Peru falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Sycamore (Sycamore, IL) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 4-0.
