Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA), 5-4 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raiders confront the Galileo Falcons (Danville, VA) in a Dogwood challenge, on Friday, May 3. Appomattox County will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 8-0 league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA).

The Cavaliers now possess a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Dan River for a Eastern Shore challenge on Friday, May 3. Chatham will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-4.
