The Abingdon Falcons the host Gate City Blue Devils softball squad by a final score of 8-5 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Falcons (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA). The Wolfpack go into the Mountain 7 battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Ridgeview was routed by Gate City (Gate City, VA), 6-5, in a league battle.

The Blue Devils now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Abingdon for a Mountain 7 battle on Tuesday, May 7. Gate City will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 8-6.
