The Sackets Harbor Central Patriots the visiting Alexandria Central Purple Ghosts softball squad by a count of 21-17 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Patriots (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Lyme Central (Chaumont, NY). The Lakers go into the Section 3 Frontier D battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Lyme Central was routed by Beaver River (Beaver Falls, NY), 9-3, in a non-league battle.

The Purple Ghosts now sport a 1-5 record. They play next when they host La Fargeville for a Section 3 Frontier D battle on Monday, May 6. Alexandria Central will meet a Knights squad coming off a 10-9 league loss to Belleville Henderson Central (Belleville, NY). The Knights record now stands at 2-7.
