The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Alleman Pioneers (Rock Island, IL) and the visiting Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL), saw Alleman's softball squad nip Quincy by a count of 11-9.

The Pioneers now sport a 5-15 record. They take the field next when they host Sherrard for a non-league match on Saturday, May 4. Alleman will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 16-6.

With the loss, Quincy falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Illini West (Carthage, IL) to face the Chargers in a non-league match on Friday, May 3. The Chargers enter the match with a record of 15-7. Illini West lost 10-7 in their recent non-league match against Seymour (Payson, IL)
