Virginia High School Softball - Amherst County bounces Salem

The Amherst County Lancers routed the host Salem Spartans softball squad by a final score of 14-5 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Lancers (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Bees go into the Seminole battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, Brookville was routed by Dan River (Ringgold, VA), 9-8, in a non-league battle.

The Spartans now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Christiansburg for a River Ridge battle on Friday, May 3. Salem will meet a Blue Demons squad coming off a 11-4 league loss to Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 13-2.
