Coming up next, the Shamrocks encounter the Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) in a Ohio Valley Athletic AAA challenge, on Friday, May 3. Barnesville will attempt to upgrade on its 13-3 season record. The Purple Riders enter the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 12-1 league win over Buckeye Local (Rayland, OH).

With the loss, Shadyside falls to 12-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Bellaire (Bellaire, OH) to battle the Big Reds in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Big Reds enter the challenge with a record of 8-15. Bellaire lost 12-11 in their recent non-league challenge against Union Local (Belmont, OH)
