Sunset Apollos (Portland, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Beaverton Beavers (Beaverton, OR), 14-3 in a league challenge.

The Apollos now own a 17-5 record. They take the field next when they host Southridge for a 6A Metro challenge on Friday, May 3.

With the loss, Beaverton falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to Mountainside (Beaverton, OR) to battle the Mavericks in a 6A Metro challenge on Friday, May 3. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a record of 6-15. Mountainside lost 4-0 in their recent league challenge against Westview (Portland, OR)
