The New Washington Mustangs softball team (New Washington, IN), was routed 18-7 in Wednesday's non-league test with the visiting Charlestown Pirates (Charlestown, IN)

The Pirates (16-2) will now prepare for their bout against Brownstown Central (Brownstown, IN). The Braves go into the Mid-Southern bout with a 9-7 record. In their last bout, Brownstown Central notched a victory over Austin (Austin, IN), 17-0, in a league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 5-8 record. They play next when they host South Central for a Southern bout on Thursday, May 2. New Washington will confront a Rebels squad coming off a 10-2 league loss to Lanesville (Lanesville, IN). The Rebels record now stands at 5-11.
