The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Elizabeth Minutemen (Elizabeth, NJ) and the visiting Johnson Crusaders (Clark, NJ), saw Elizabeth's softball squad nip Johnson by a count of 2-0.

The Minutemen now sport a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Dayton for a UCC - Watchung match on Friday, May 3. Elizabeth will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Cranford (Cranford, NJ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Johnson falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Westfield (Westfield, NJ) to face the Blue Devils in a UCC - Watchung match on Friday, May 3. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 9-7. Westfield lost 14-3 in their recent league match against Governor Livingston (Berkeley Heights, NJ)
