Kelso Hilanders (Kelso, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Evergreen Plainsmen (Vancouver, WA), 7-2 in a league challenge.

The Hilanders now own a 6-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Prairie for a 3A Greater St. Helens game on Thursday, May 2. Kelso will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 26-0 league win over Mountain View (Vancouver, WA). The Falcons record now stands at 10-7.

In their next game, the Plainsmen clash with the Heritage Timberwolves (Vancouver, WA) in a 3A Greater St. Helens game, on Friday, May 3. Evergreen will attempt to move on its 2-9 season record. The Timberwolves come into the game with a 6-9 record after their 3-1 league win over Kelso (Kelso, WA).
