The Groton-Dunstable Crusaders routed the visiting Fitchburg Red Raiders softball squad by a final score of 14-2 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Crusaders (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Nashoba Regional (Bolton, MA). The Wolves go into the Midland-Wachusett B battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Nashoba Regional notched a victory over Algonquin Regional (Northborough, MA), 10-1, in a non-league battle.
The Red Raiders now possess a 0-4 record. They play next when they host North Middlesex Regional for a Midland-Wachusett B battle on Friday, May 3. Fitchburg will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley, MA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-6.
