Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL) and the visiting Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL), witnessed Lake Park's softball squad tip Geneva by a count of 8-3.

The Lancers now sport a 17-2 record. They play next when they travel to Glenbrook North for a non-league match on Friday, May 3. Lake Park will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Maine South (Park Ridge, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 9-12.

With the loss, Geneva moves to 4-14 on the season. The Vikings travel to Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL) to meet the Tigers in a DuKane match on Thursday, May 2. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 13-7. Wheaton-Warrenville South lost 6-5 in their recent league match against Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL)
