Williamsville East Flames (East Amherst, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hamburg Bulldogs (Hamburg, NY), 14-10 in a league challenge.

The Flames now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Amherst Central for a Section 6 Erie County II challenge on Friday, May 3. Williamsville East will face a Tigers squad coming off a 9-8 non-league loss to Sweet Home (Amherst, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Hamburg falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host West Seneca West (West Seneca, NY) to face the Warhawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Warhawks enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. West Seneca West won 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Starpoint (Lockport, NY)
