Urbana Hawks (Ijamsville, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oakdale for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. Urbana will face a squad coming off a 10-7 league loss to Middletown (Middletown, MD). The record now stands at 6-10.

With the loss, Linganore falls to 13-6 on the campaign.
