Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes (Woodstock, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wheaton Academy Warriors (West Chicago, IL), 10-6 in a league challenge.

The Hurricanes now own a 10-10 record. They take the field next when they host Woodlands Academy for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. Marian Central Catholic will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 29-3 league loss to Francis W. Parker (Chicago, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Wheaton Academy falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Ridgewood (Norridge, IL) to battle the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 6-11. Ridgewood lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL)
