Mark Morris Monarchs (Longview, WA) fans went home satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their softball squad top the visiting R.A. Long Lumberjacks (Longview, WA), 10-0 in a league battle.
The Monarchs (16-3) will now prepare for their battle against Columbia River (Vancouver, WA). The Rapids go into the 2A Greater St. Helens battle with a 16-3 record. In their last battle, Columbia River topped R.A. Long (Longview, WA), 14-0, in a league battle.
The Lumberjacks now sport a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Columbia River for a 2A Greater St. Helens battle on Thursday, May 2. R.A. Long will meet a Rapids squad coming off a 13-1 league win over Hudson's Bay (Vancouver, WA). The Rapids record now stands at 15-3.
