Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 10-12 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln for a Foothill Valley League challenge on Thursday, May 2. Oakmont will face a Fighting Zebras squad coming off a 15-2 league win over Placer (Auburn, CA). The Fighting Zebras record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Nevada Union falls to 3-19 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Placer (Auburn, CA) to face the Hillmen in a Foothill Valley League challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Hillmen enter the challenge with a record of 0-12. Placer lost 15-2 in their recent league challenge against Lincoln (Lincoln, CA)
