The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Orono Riots (Orono, ME) and the visiting Old Town Coyotes (Old Town, ME), saw Orono's softball squad nip Old Town by a count of 6-3.

The Riots now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mount View for a Class C North match on Friday, May 3. Orono will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Maranacook (Readfield, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Old Town falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Coyotes host John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME) to face the Crusaders in a Class B North match on Friday, May 3. The Crusaders enter the match with a record of 1-5. John Bapst Memorial lost 9-0 in their recent league match against Hermon (Hermon, ME)
