Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Rock Hill Redmen (Ironton, OH) and the host Portsmouth Trojans (Portsmouth, OH), witnessed Rock Hill's softball squad tip Portsmouth by a count of 4-3.

The Redmen now sport a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Ironton for a Ohio Valley match on Monday, May 6. Rock Hill will face a Fighting Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH). The Fighting Tigers record now stands at 17-5.

With the loss, Portsmouth moves to 5-13 on the season. The Trojans travel to Gallia Academy (Gallipolis, OH) to face the Blue Devils in a Ohio Valley match on Thursday, May 2. The Blue Devils go into the match with a record of 3-11. Gallia Academy won 9-3 in their recent league match against Chesapeake (Chesapeake, OH)
