Vestaburg Wolverines (Vestaburg, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Webberville Spartans (Webberville, MI), 18-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 17-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coleman for a Mid-State challenge on Friday, May 3. Vestaburg will face a Comets squad coming off a 15-4 league win over St. Charles (St. Charles, MI). The Comets record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Webberville falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Merrill (Merrill, MI) to face the Vandals in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Vandals enter the challenge with a record of 6-6.
