The Lakeland Lakers (LaGrange, IN) baseball got by the host Angola Hornets (Angola, IN), 4-3 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Lakers now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host West Noble for a Northeast Corner challenge on Tuesday, May 6. Lakeland will clash with a Chargers team coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to East Noble (Kendallville, IN). The Chargers record now stands at 7-8.

With the defeat, Angola drops to 2-11 on the year. The Hornets host Fort Wayne Canterbury (Fort Wayne, IN) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 5.
