The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Cox Falcons (Virginia Beach, VA) and the visiting Bayside Marlins (Virginia Beach, VA), saw Cox's baseball team gain a win over Bayside by a tally of 9-5.

The Falcons (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Greenbrier Christian Academy (Chesapeake, VA). The Gators go into the non-league challenge with a 20-3 record. In their last challenge, Greenbrier Christian Academy nipped StoneBridge (Chesapeake, VA), 10-4, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Bayside drops to 6-8 on the year. The Marlins host Kempsville (Virginia Beach, VA) to clash with the Chiefs in a Beach challenge on Tuesday, May 6. The Chiefs go into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Kempsville lost 9-6 in their recent league challenge against Princess Anne (Virginia Beach, VA)
