Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA), 8-5 in a league match.

With the triumph, Buckingham advances its record to 10-0 on the season. The Knights host Amherst County (Amherst, VA) to battle the Lancers in a non-league match on Monday, May 5. The Lancers come into the match with a record of 7-8. Amherst County lost 3-2 in their recent league match against Glass (Lynchburg, VA)

The Chargers now have a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prince Edward County for a James River match on Tuesday, May 6. Lunenburg Central will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Cumberland (Cumberland, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-7.
