The Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA) baseball trounced the host Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA), 16-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Lancaster for a Northern Neck challenge on Tuesday, May 6. Essex will clash with a Red Devils team coming off a 10-5 league loss to Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA). The Red Devils record now stands at 10-7.

With the defeat, Colonial Beach drops to 6-9 on the year. The Drifters travel to West Point (West Point, VA) to clash with the Pointers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 5. The Pointers go into the challenge with a record of 2-10. West Point lost 12-1 in their recent league challenge against Middlesex (Saluda, VA)
