The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Granite Falls Tigers (Granite Falls, WA) and the visiting Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes (Mount Vernon, WA), saw Granite Falls's baseball team gain a win over Mount Vernon Christian by a tally of 12-5.
The Tigers (9-10) will now prepare for their battle against Orcas Island (Eastsound, WA). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Orcas Island held off Coupeville (Coupeville, WA), 12-2, in a league battle.
Next, the Hurricanes face the La Conner Braves (La Conner, WA) in a 1B/2B Northwest battle, on Friday, May 2. Mount Vernon Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Braves enter the battle with a 5-6 record after their 18-7 league loss to Darrington (Darrington, WA).
