The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Hagerstown Tigers (Hagerstown, IN) and the visiting Union County Patriots (Liberty, IN), saw Hagerstown's baseball team gain a win over Union County by a tally of 3-0.

The Tigers (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against New Castle (New Castle, IN). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 4-11 record. In their last battle, New Castle by Yorktown (Yorktown, IN), 8-6, in a league battle.

Next, the Patriots face the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 5. Union County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Golden Bears enter the battle with a 9-9 record after their 15-9 non-league win over Muncie Central (Muncie, IN).
