In Thursday's league game, the visiting Hurley Northstars baseball team scored a nice 26-0 win over the South Shore Cardinals.
The Northstars (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Flambeau (Tony, WI). The Falcons go into the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Flambeau was overwhelmed by Prairie Farm (Prairie Farm, WI), 2-1, in a league game.
Next, the Cardinals play the Mellen Granite Diggers (Mellen, WI) in a Indianhead game, on Monday, May 5. South Shore will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Granite Diggers go into the game with a 5-2 record after their 6-4 non-league win over Shell Lake (Shell Lake, WI).
