The Trico Pioneers baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Johnston City Indians to 3 in the Pioneers league win on Thursday.

The Pioneers now own a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waterloo for a non-league test on Friday, May 2. Trico will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-7.

With the defeat, Johnston City drops to 17-6 on the year. The Indians travel to Flora (Flora, IL) to play the Wolves in a non-league test on Saturday, May 3. The Wolves go into the test with a record of 7-8. Flora won 6-5 in their recent league test against Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL)
