The Proviso West Panthers baseball squad (Hillside, IL), was overwhelmed 13-0 in Thursday's league test with the visiting Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL)

The Lions now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lockport for a non-league test on Friday, May 2. Lyons will clash with a Porters team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Porters record now stands at 12-7.

With the defeat, Proviso West drops to 4-14 on the year. The Panthers host Proviso East (Maywood, IL) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league test on Saturday, May 3. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 3-16. Proviso East lost 12-2 in their recent league test against Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL)
