The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) and the visiting South St. Paul Packers (South St. Paul, MN), saw Simley's baseball team gain a win over South St. Paul by a tally of 13-3.

The Spartans (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against St. Thomas Academy (Mendota Heights, MN). The Cadets enter the Classic Suburban battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, St. Thomas Academy was overwhelmed by Hastings (Hastings, MN), 5-4, in a league battle.

Next, the Packers face the Hill-Murray Pioneers (Maplewood, MN) in a Classic Suburban battle, on Friday, May 2. South St. Paul will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Pioneers enter the battle with a 8-2 record after their 7-2 league win over Hastings (Hastings, MN).
