New Hartford Spartans (New Hartford, NY) backers exited the stadium satisfied Thursday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the host Clinton Comets (Clinton, NY), 9-7 in a league game.

With the victory, New Hartford improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (Verona, NY) to play the Red Devils in a Section 3 TVL- East game on Saturday, May 3. The Red Devils come into the game with a record of 1-1. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill lost 14-3 in their recent league game against Rome Free Academy (Rome, NY)

The Comets now have a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Immaculate Heart Central for a non-league game on Saturday, May 3.
