The Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils lacrosse team (Verona, NY), was overwhelmed 14-3 in Thursday's league battle with the host Rome Free Academy Black Knights (Rome, NY)
With the victory, Rome Free Academy advances its record to 5-4 on the season. The Black Knights travel to Fayetteville-Manlius (Manlius, NY) to encounter the Hornets in a non-league battle on Saturday, May 3. The Hornets come into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Red Devils now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Hartford for a Section 3 TVL- East battle on Saturday, May 3. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 9-7 league win over Clinton (Clinton, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 5-2.
