The South Stokes Sauras soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Alleghany Trojans to 1 in the Sauras league victory on Thursday.

The Sauras now hold a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Mount Airy for a Northwest 1A bout on Tuesday, May 6. South Stokes will play a Granite Bears squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 1-13.

With the loss, Alleghany moves to 3-11 on the year. The Trojans host East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) to play the Cardinals in a Northwest 1A bout on Monday, May 5. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 8-11. East Wilkes won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC)
