In Thursday's league contest, the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) soccer team edged the host Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC), by a tally of 2-1.
Next, the Trojans face the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A contest, on Monday, May 5. Bandys will attempt to advance on its 15-2 season record. The Red Devils enter the contest with a 14-5 record after their 5-1 league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC).
The Blue Devils (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Bears enter the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Bunker Hill was nipped by East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 1-0, in a league contest.
