Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC) followers went home happy Thursday as they saw their soccer squad knock off the host Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC), 3-0 in a league battle.

The Panthers (15-7) will now prepare for their battle against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Ragin' Bulls enter the non-league battle with a 19-0 record. In their last battle, Hickory Ridge tipped Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC), 4-3, in a league battle.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) in a Southwestern 4A battle, on Tuesday, May 6. Butler will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 9-8 record after their 7-0 league win over Garinger (Charlotte, NC).
