Colorado High School Soccer - Fountain Valley nudges Gilpin County

Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Fountain Valley Danes (Colorado Springs, CO) and the visiting Gilpin County Eagles (Black Hawk, CO), saw Fountain Valley's soccer squad hold off Gilpin County by a count of 2-1.

The Danes (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Manitou Springs (Manitou Springs, CO). The Mustangs enter the non-league battle with a 10-2 record. In their last battle, Manitou Springs tipped Colorado Springs Christian (Colorado Springs, CO), 4-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Eagles battle the Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves (Longmont, CO) in a non-league battle, on Friday, May 2. Gilpin County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Timberwolves enter the battle with a 4-7 record after their 6-1 league loss to Addenbrooke Classical Academy (Lakewood, CO).
