Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) and the host Tri-County Jaguars (Murphy, NC), saw Highlands's soccer squad prevail over Tri-County by a score of 5-1.

The Highlanders (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Murphy (Murphy, NC). The Bulldogs enter the Smoky Mountain 1A battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Murphy by Swain County (Bryson City, NC), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Jaguars confront the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A battle, on Monday, May 5. Tri-County will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Braves enter the battle with a 5-6 record after their 9-0 league loss to Swain County (Bryson City, NC).
