The Homestead Spartans baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Carroll Chargers to 2 in the Spartans non-league win on Thursday.

The Spartans now hold a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Huntington North for a non-league test on Friday, May 2. Homestead will play a Vikings team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to East Noble (Kendallville, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 5-2.

With the defeat, Carroll drops to 5-5 on the year. The Chargers host Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran (Fort Wayne, IN) to play the Cadets in a non-league test on Saturday, May 3. The Cadets go into the test with a record of 1-6.
