The Meridian Mustangs baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Fauquier Falcons to 5 in the Mustangs league win on Thursday.

The Mustangs now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stone Bridge for a non-league test on Friday, May 2. Meridian will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-3 league win over Independence (Ashburn, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-2.

With the defeat, Fauquier drops to 4-7 on the year. The Falcons host Warren County (Front Royal, VA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league test on Monday, May 5. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 1-10. Warren County lost 16-2 in their recent league test against Meridian (Falls Church, VA)
