The Grand Island Islanders baseball squad (Grand Island, NE), was overwhelmed 14-1 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks (Lincoln, NE)

With the triumph, Lincoln Southwest moves its record to 11-4 on the season. The Silver Hawks host Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE) to confront the Rockets in a non-league contest on Monday, May 5. The Rockets come into the contest with a record of 3-11. Lincoln Northeast lost 11-5 in their recent non-league contest against Standing Bear (Lincoln, NE)

The Islanders now possess a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elkhorn North for a non-league contest on Saturday, May 3. Grand Island will confront a Wolves squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Creighton Prep (Omaha, NE). The Wolves record now stands at 24-11.
