In Thursday's non-league match, the host Shrewsbury Colonials softball team scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Framingham Flyers.
The Colonials (5-0) will now prepare for their match against Wachusett Regional (Holden, MA). The Mountaineers go into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Wachusett Regional tipped Hudson (Hudson, MA), 21-2, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Flyers battle the Milton Wildcats (Milton, MA) in a non-league match, on Monday, May 5. Framingham will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record.
