Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) and the visiting James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), saw Alleghany's soccer squad triumph over James River by a count of 6-1.

The Cougars (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Radford (Radford, VA). The Bobcats enter the Three Rivers battle with a 8-1 record. In their last battle, Radford tipped Patrick County (Stuart, VA), 4-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Knights battle the Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, May 2. James River will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Little Giants enter the battle with a 8-3 record after their 11-0 league win over Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA).
