Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) and the visiting Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), saw Glass's soccer squad triumph over Amherst County by a count of 8-0.

The Hilltoppers (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors enter the non-league battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Western Albemarle ran past Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 10-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Lancers confront the Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole battle, on Tuesday, May 6. Amherst County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Pioneers enter the battle with a 4-6 record after their 6-5 league loss to Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA).
