The Central Aroostook Panthers softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Ashland Hornets to 7 in the Panthers league win on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wisdom for a Class D North battle on Saturday, May 3. Central Aroostook will encounter a Pioneers team coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Washburn (Washburn, ME). The Pioneers record now stands at 1-0.
