The Graves County Eagles triumphed over the visiting Carlisle County Comets softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles meet the Ballard Memorial Bombers (Barlow, KY) in a District 3 challenge, on Friday, May 2. Graves County will attempt to upgrade on its 14-12 season record. The Bombers enter the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 6-3 non-league win over Marshall County (Benton, KY).
The Comets (5-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Fulton County (Hickman, KY). The Pilots enter the District 1 challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Fulton County was routed by Fulton City (Fulton, KY), 24-13, in a league challenge.
