With the triumph, Cave Spring improves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Knights host Salem (Salem, VA) to play the Spartans in a River Ridge game on Friday, May 2. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 12-3. Salem won 17-2 in their recent non-league game against Northside (Roanoke, VA)

The Cavaliers now hold a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Staunton River for a Blue Ridge game on Friday, May 2. Lord Botetourt will play a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 11-3.
