New Jersey High School Softball - Jackson Memorial Donovan Catholic

The Donovan Catholic Griffins triumphed over the visiting Jackson Memorial Jaguars softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Griffins play the Red Bank Catholic Caseys (Red Bank, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 2. Donovan Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 15-0 season record. The Caseys enter the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 13-3 league loss to St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ).

The Jaguars (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Freehold Township (Freehold, NJ). The Patriots enter the non-league challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge, Freehold Township edged Marlboro (Marlboro, NJ), 10-3, in a league challenge.
