The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) and the visiting Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA), observed Franklin's softball team prevail over Oil City by a tally of 14-4.

The Knights (3-10) will now prepare for their bout against Rocky Grove (Franklin, PA). The Orioles go into the non-league bout with a 4-7 record. In their last bout, Rocky Grove was routed by Cambridge Springs (Cambridge Springs, PA), 3-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Oilers clash with the Jamestown Muskies (Jamestown, PA) in a District 10 Region 5 bout, on Monday, May 5. Oil City will attempt to advance on its 1-13 season record. The Muskies go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Sharpsville (Sharpsville, PA).
